MY DAUGHTER'S ARTWORK

I found this artwork under the tree on Christmas morning, 2019. It is the creation of our daughter, Megan Giles Cooney, an artist and partner in bringing When Truth Mattered to life. To my eye, it is thought-provoking, an abstract expression that captured May 4, 1970, in a collage of newsprint, typewriter keys of the time, and the medals symbolizing the Pulitzer Prize. The painting evokes the terrible violence of that day with a series of brush strokes in black, white and silver. I am happy to share it with visitors to this web site who may see something else in the work than I do.
